Find that Inner Child

Read It, Learn It, Live It, Share It with your friends

“And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.”

– Matthew 18:3

Bedtime Prayer
When you look into the star lit sky – do you see His face?
When you look into the bright morning sun – do you see His grace?
The grains of sand on every shore are numbered only by Him.
When the waves crash in and wash them away, He brings them back again.

Yet with all this wisdom, knowledge and power, my God – He loves you most.
A love that is filled with grace and humility, that none shall ever boast.
It cannot be avoided, nor ever removed from the depths of your soul
For God has placed himself within you, to ensure that you are whole.

God loves the lil’ ones, for they come without a care.
When your falling down, and you hit your knees, look up ‘cause He’ll be there
Love like a little one, humble yourself before His throne,
Trust in the word of God, seek His grace and you’ll never be alone.

He created the mountains so high and the oceans so deep
Don’t you think He keeps watch while you sleep.
Tomorrow when the world crashes in, as you walk out that door
Grab ahold of the One who’s been there before.

Because - God loves the lil’ ones, for they come without a care.
When your falling down, and you hit your knees, look up ‘cause He’ll be there
Love like a little one, humble yourself before His throne,
Trust in the word of God, seek His grace and you’ll never be alone.

Yes, God loves the lil’ ones who come without a care. . . .

I sing this lullaby to my kids sometimes. The words change from time to time based on the days events, but it’s a soft gentle reminder of just how much God loves us.  He create it all, the stars, the sun, the sand, the mountains and the oceans; yet He loves each of us without end.  Take time today to realize that He knows you – He knows the real you, down deep inside that few others may have ever seen.  When you were a lil’ one, you were authentic in your love for Him.  Isn’t it time to find that lil’ one once again?
