Get the Most from the Day

Read It, Learn It, Live It, Share It with your friends

“For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.” – Philippians 1:21

Making the most of every moment of life.  We are each given this day, 86,400 seconds, to live for Christ, to do something that will help advance His Kingdom and represent His love to others.  If you were blessed enough this day that your feet landed on the floor, than God has given you one more day to do something for Him.

Paul’s statement to the church at Philippi was to live every moment of every day for the One who gave it all away for them.  Paul was in chains, in a prison cell when he wrote this letter.  Yet, even in this lowly place, he found that God was still capable of using him.  Your circumstances in life are simply opportunities when viewed through the lens of His purpose and serving others.  Living for Christ is not easy, it was never promised to be.  It takes effort, humility, sacrifice, patience and above all a desire to serve.  Taking one’s eyes off of themselves and focusing on those in need, those who are hungry and searching for God’s love.

We tend to focus our attention on the things in our own life that must be taken care of and spend little time focusing on how to help others.  Today, make the commitment that you will change that.  You are only given a short amount of time on this earth to make an impact for God Almighty.  Once you have passed away, it’s much more difficult to share His love with others.  Therefore, if your feet hit the ground in the morning, seek the opportunities to present Christ to another, so when you stand before the Lord one day, His voice will echo through the halls – “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
