Make 2014 a year for sharing
“So again I ask, does God give you his Spirit and work miracles among you
by the works of the law, or by your believing what you heard?” – Galatians 3:5
He will breathe life into the bones lying in the valley of Israel (Ezekiel 37)
and they came to life, as the great army of Israel in the last days. He will make life from death, and put organs
back into place, flesh upon tissue, tissue upon muscle, muscle upon tendon and
tendon upon bone. God is the God of the
living and the dead, and it is only in His decision when life and death are to
fall upon us. In Psalm 139:13-18, we learn that God created each of us in much the same manner. He formed us deep within our mothers womb, in the darkness and secret place. He knows the number of our days before we are even born, and He knows what our purpose is. You were on God’s mind at the point of your creation and your plan was laid out before your cell’s began to replicate and develop.
We look upon Jesus calling Lazarus from the tomb, a resurrection of life, and the Synagogue Leader’s daughter who was dead, and Jesus laid hands upon her, a resurrection of life. We acknowledge the miraculous power and authority that dwelled within Him as we read through the scriptures, and we then look at all of the devastation, pain, suffering and hurt in the world and ask, “Where are those miracles today?”
We miss the miracles in life every day. We look for the grandiose and miss the simplicity around us. Do you not realize that your very life is a miracle given by God every morning? Should we not rise in the morning praising God for one more day to serve Him and live out this life He has ordained? You were created by the most high God. Your very formation in your mother’s womb was miraculous, because you were formed by the hand of God alone.
In the scriptures when God creates life from death, we call it a miracle. When you accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord, you were taken from the jaws of death and written into the Lamb’s book of life. He breathed new life into your dead bones and brought you forth as a member in His army. That’s very much a miracle in your own life.
Every morning you wake up and place your feet on the floor, He has given you another 24 hours, (86,400 seconds) to live for Him. You receive a renewal of life each and every day, yet we choose to squander it and waste it focusing on our own desires, wants and plan; rather than the plan He chose for you. He is miraculously giving you another day, and the choice is yours what you will do with the gift He gave you.
Quit looking for the huge miracles, but embrace the reality that every new morning He gives you in and of itself is a miracle. He is the maker of heaven and earth, He is omnipotent and sovereign over all things. Your life and your death lie in His hands, and in the reading of this Daily Thought it is evident that He has chosen to give you life. Take advantage of this miracle and use it for Him.
