Spread the Wealth

Read It, Learn It, Live It, Share It

"And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days " - Revelations 11:3

There will come a day when; as a believer in Jesus Christ; you will no longer have the opportunity to tell someone about Him. The bible tells us that He will return and we will be caught up with Him in the clouds and will be with Him forever. When this happens, the time to share Christ's message and love with others will be gone. I propose that the company we keep from that moment on will be filled with rejoicing in the Lord, not spreading His good news, for the recipients of any message will already have it.

The scripture referenced above calls out an action that will take place during the tribulation period. Many believe that this 1,260 days represents the 2nd three and a half years of the seven year tribulation period. These will be the final voices to the unsaved. Without ceasing they will preach the gospel from the temple mount in Jerusalem. There will be enemies who attempt to kill them for their preaching. These people will be killed in their attempts.

Daily we have the opportunity to share the gospel with others. Yes, it is hard for some to enter into a discussion on religion with others when you are unclear of their religious beliefs. Face it, having a discussion with another believer, albeit` very valuable for growth, is easy and comfortable. We are called to share His gospel with the world, even if that means 1 person at a time. Below I have captured a few thoughts on how to open this discussion with friends, family, co-workers or strangers. Please consider this carefully and take the opportunities as they present themselves to share your beliefs. Do not worry about stumbling over words or getting it perfect, because you can't get it perfect but God can through you.

  "Have a blessed day."
  "Can I pray for you?"
"I'm doing a survey, can I ask you a question? Who is Jesus Christ?"
Invite someone to go to church with you.
Share Christian music with someone, buy the latest Michael W. Smith, Stephen Curtis Chapman, Casting Crowns or Chris Tomlin CD and give it to someone.
Take someone to lunch, ask them if you can pray before you eat.
If you want me to send you an e-mail that you can forward to someone, just e-mail me. by clicking here.
Don't wait, for we truly do not know when these events will unfold, but we do know that they will. It doesn't have to be in your face preaching, but find a way to enter into a discussion. Who do you know that needs to hear about Jesus today? Family members, friends or peers? Take the time to do something about it.
