I am traveling today, so this is going to be short, but I hope it causes you to step back, and truly think about those around you and how much you love them.
"Then the kings of the earth and the great men and the commanders and the rich and the strong and every slave and free man hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains; and they said to the mountains and to the rocks, "Fall on us and hide us from the presence of Him who sits on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb; for the great day of their wrath has come, and who is able to stand?" - Revelation 6:15-17 NASB
Consider what lies ahead for mankind. Where will you be when the Day of the Lord is upon us? Where will you spouse be? Where will you son, your daughter, your mother/father, your grand children be? If you're not sure, if there is any question at all in your mind that they have a relationship with God through Jesus Christ, the Savior; then why aren't you doing something about it?
Believe me, I don't mean to stand here and preach at you; nor am I trying to be a doomsday messenger; what I am trying to be is a friend and advocate for you and those around you. The Bible is viewed as some as a great book of stories. I view it as God's word incarnate and truthful to every word. Why would He lie? Why would parts of it be true and other parts not true? What would His Kingdom gain from that? Sure, you could argue that the Bible was translated by mankind and that the early Catholic church decided what was in and what wasn't in the King James version. Do you really believe that God the Father, Almighty maker of Heaven and Earth would have allowed a mere mortal man to control how His message to mankind would be communicated? Every word that remains from the original scrolls, and texts of the early church, the prophets and judges were compiled in a manner that God Himself ordained and allowed to happen. So that 1800 years later we are still reading the exact same text that was compiled as His Holy Word. It is believable, truthful and will come to complete fruition in His glorious timing.
You have the obligation to at least make sure that your loved ones know the truth. They are then able to make an intelligent decision as to what to do with the information and the conviction of the Holy Spirit on their soul. They cannot, I repeat, they cannot get into eternal heaven on your spiritual strength, nor that of others around them. If you truly believe in Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord, then stand up and loudly declare it to those around you. You may be the only person in their entire life that shares the truth with them. If you find this difficult then call me or email and let's talk. This is your calling for this day, stand up and serve the Lord. I'm not going to guilt you into sending this to your friends, but you might want to ask yourself why you won't.
